Literacy Studies Final Project

As my final project for ENG 581: Literacy Studies at Marshall University, I am conducting a research project to create my literacy family tree.  By interviewing myself, my mother, and my grandmother, I can compare our responses to the interview questions to see how my literacy has been shaped both by my family and through my personal literacy goals.

  1. Amanda,
This is such a cool project! I’m envious of what must have been such a rewarding experience. This is information that can be passed down to your future generations so that your mother and grandmother are not lost to time. I would have loved to have had this information about my grandmother. But it is no longer possible. It is a great piece.

  2. Wow! This is amazing! I thought the changes in literacy education over your family generations were interesting. And the fact that some boys never saw Jane! Hilarious!
